First I started off by writing down ideas for my type, how it would be used and what sort of type that I wanted. This helped me have a clear idea for what I wanted my type to look like.
I then drew out different styles of type that I thought I would best fit with the idea that I wanted to use for my final piece. I decided to choose mainly script typefaces, so that they had the hand-drawn feel I wanted, and then decided to draw out some type that was more bold type that had a sort of shadow around it, which created more of a cartoon feel. I think this would look really good with the watercolored images that I plan to create for my final piece.
